This very special Tuscany motorcycle tour is the result of a unique collaboration between All Routes Italy, The Bike Shed London, and Charley Boorman — a true inspiration of adventure motorcycling around the world.
After the success of the first edition in 2025, this second run has been designed as a limited, highly curated experience for experienced riders who want to share the road with like-minded enthusiasts and one of the most recognised personalities in motorcycle travel.
Whether you’re drawn by the expertise of All Routes Italy, the cultural stature of The Bike Shed, or Charley’s global riding legacy, this tour stands apart from standard motorcycle tours in its spirit, quality, and community focus.
The route extends across Lazio, Umbria, and Tuscany, with riders based at a single Tuscan country hotel for three nights, allowing for deeper exploration without constant packing and moving. Days are shaped around carefully planned roads, long lunches, and unhurried evenings, with time set aside for rest, culture, and conversation—an experience defined as much by pace and place as by amazing riding.

A Collaborative Motorcycle Experience
Unlike typical guided tours, this experience brings together three distinct motorcycle worlds:
**All Routes Italy** — expert tour design and deep local knowledge of Italy’s best riding roads, hotels, and culture.
**The Bike Shed London** — one of the UK’s most respected motorcycle clubs and cultural hubs, born from a passion for custom motorcycles, two-wheeled adventure and community.
**Charley Boorman** — an internationally recognised motorcycle traveller, presenter, and author whose legendary journeys have inspired riders for decades.
This combination makes this tour more than a journey; it’s a shared ride rooted in community, experience, and adventure — a rare opportunity to ride with peers and icons alike.

Tour Plan
DAY 1 (01/09): ‘WELCOME TO ROME’
Airport pickup – hotel check in – aperitivo – welcome briefing – dinner – rest.
DAY 2 (02/09) 235 km: ‘THE LAKES ROUTE’
We leave Rome heading north on easy b roads and soon after enter an area of lush vegetation, home to the picturesque Lago di Bracciano, where we pause for a peaceful coffee overlooking the mirror like water. Continuing through the regional natural reserve of Lago di Vico, we ride by Viterbo, before reaching our favourite location on Lago di Bolsena for a swim and a delicious fish lunch. Refreshed and replenished, we transition into Tuscany via its fun twisties, and immediately come to a true gem, the epic medieval town Sorano. Here, a coffee infused with bags of history ignites our Tuscan receptors before we continue through the southern Tuscan mountains. Finally, we reach our hilltop Agriturismo for a well-deserved welcome aperitivo, a swim, and a true Tuscan dinner by the pool.
DAY 3 (03/09) 260 km: ‘THE TUSCAN COAST’
Recharged by a healthy local produce breakfast and ready to discover some of the most beautiful and yet less obvious Tuscan towns, we head towards the coast until we reach our first coffee stop of the day, a town famous for its 13th century epic buildings still in use, the iconic Massa Marittima. Continuing via vineyards and oak tree forests, we arrive at the emblematic Bolgheri, where a superb steak lunch in idyllic settings awaits us. Filled with beauty and deliciousness, we continue north on fun twisty roads to the Etruscan hilltop town Volterra, a true Tuscan gem, to enjoy a coffee in the Piazza and a wonder around the incredible roads. Finally, riding via the chestnut tree forest surrounding Castelnuovo di Val di Cecina, and having enjoyed a coffee in the company of local old folks watching the world go by, we arrive back at our hotel where a champions’ welcome awaits us.
DAY 4 (04/09) 240 km: ‘THE CHIANTI ROUTE’
This is the day we ride up into the hearth of Tuscany and really discover what all the fuss is about. Riding off on thrilling roads immersed in a lush heavenly forest, we arrive at a very unique coffee stop, the fortified medieval town Monteriggioni. A little further north past Siena, and we are finally gliding into the dreamy Tuscan hills of the world-famous Chianti region, where we will savour a unique terrace lunch with a magnificent vista. Refreshed and energised, we head back south into the Crete Senesi region, riding by the spectacular Brolio Castle and its famous cypress trees, and of course marvelling at the beautiful idyllic landscapes Tuscany is famous for. Once in Val D’Orcia, we ride up to beautiful Montalcino to enjoy a wine tour and tasting overlooking the whole valley, and to reflect and appreciate all the incredible beauty we’ve experienced this day. Back at the hotel only a short ride away, the pool and another tasty dinner awaits us.
DAY 5 (05/09) 230 km: ‘THE APENNINES ROUTE'’
We say arrivederci to the wonderful Tuscan hills and depart south for the more rugged Umbria and the Apennine Mountain range, but first one last Tuscan experience awaits us, a cappuccino by the thermal pool at the endearing town Bagno Vignoni. Continuing south east, we ride a brief section of Lazio before entering Umbria and arriving in Orvieto, a beautiful ancient city perched on a rock cliff, where we’ll indulge in an original Umbria lunch at a family-owned restaurant. From there, we ride along the Lago di Corbara and the beginning of Rome’s famous river Tevere, we stop for homemade ice cream, cross a small village called ‘Bastardo’, and finally arrive at our destination for the day. Right in the heart of Umbria, set between ancient walls and wild nature, the medieval town of Scheggino and its beautiful historical home and SPA will treat us like kings in medieval times.
DAY 6 (06/09) 200 km: ‘FROM THE MOUNTAINS TO THE CAPITAL’
Well rested and rejuvenated, we set off for a dynamic and spectacular day into the wild Apennine Mountain range. Crossing back into Lazio, we enjoy coffee and pastries at the feet of Mount Tilia in lovely town Leonessa, before riding back up to the top of Sella di Leonessa and along the spectacular mountain peaks. Gopros and Insta cameras on, we descend to another plain to enjoy a traditional lunch in old Roman town Rieti, before climbing back into the twisties of the Natural Reserve of Mount Navegna and Mount Cervia. Finally, we’ll descend the mountains one last time to arrive triumphant in stunning Tivoli, a Latin city home to several old Roman villas and temples, where we’ll enjoy one last coffee stop before returning to Rome. Back in the capital, we celebrate our amazing Grand Tour experience with a final dinner party in Trastevere.

A: Charley is the tour leader of this tour. He rides the routes with the group, joins for the long lunches, and is part of the evening social experience. It is a genuine shared adventure.
Q: Is this tour only for Bike Shed members?
A: No. While it celebrates the ethos of The Bike Shed, it is open to all experienced riders who appreciate motorcycle culture, great company, and premium Italian roads.

Q: Are there any "Custom Bike" requirements?
A: None at all. Whether you rent a modern Ducati from our fleet or bring your own custom café racer, all styles of motorcycles are welcome.
